"Slightly Off Broadway is simply the best. I cannot look back and think of a better extra-curricular activity throughout high school...and for me, even throughout University! I was a vocal student for nearly 10 years of my life and can honestly say that Slightly Off Broadway is the place where I was taught the freedom to express myself and where I gained confidence and self esteem - all things extremely important for teenage girls to grasp. I love the teachers and cannot thank them enough for everything they've done for me. I no longer live in Thunder Bay, and I often wish I could still continue lessons with them and have my own children take lessons with them. Give them a shot - you and/or your children will be so thankful you did."
I can safely say that without having had Slightly Off Broadway in my life, I would not be where I am today. Jaclyn and Connie bring such inspiration and support to everyone who walks through their doors. They encourage all to see their potential and guide them with the right tools in order to achieve them. I am a proud graduate of Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto and have performed in plays, musicals, and cabarets in Canada and internationally. I have also proudly performed in front of the Royal Family at the Opening Ceremonies for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Thunder Bay is lucky to have these two ladies who not only believe in and love everything they do, but share that knowledge and love with others. In return it ultimately builds a stronger and more creative community core. This year I am so thrilled to be part of the teaching team at Slightly Off Broadway and share my knowledge that I堬earned over the years. Slightly Off Broadway is the platform anyone looking for a career in the performing arts field needs.
Slightly off broadway rocks! The teachers are super nice but they don't take any crap. They're very helpful and know what they're talking about. They helped me out so much when preparing for my audition for school and with the help of them I got in! Slightly off broadway is truly spectacular.
My involvement with Slightly off Broadway started with my daughter taking a group voice class, that lead into doing solo voice class, then onto musical theatre and dance. With the many opportunities to perform, she has gained amazing confidence. Signing up for shorter sessions allowed her to try something new without a year-long commitment and I appreciate the non-competitive, supportive environment that Jacqueline and Connie have created, so much so that I have also taken up dance classes and even performed on stage!
"I like performing original scripts and learning all the lines!"
After ten years, I still can't wait to sign up for classes each season. Jaclyn and Connie make each session fun, new and exciting. The studio has a warm family like feel and everyone is so supportive.
There is no other studio like it.
This was the greatest organization I was ever apart of, it has been 4 years since I last hit the stage and I just end up watching all the video recordings my dad made of our plays. I miss it a lot.
As a young teenager I studied with Jacqueline for 5 years. She helped guide my love for all genres of music. She also helped me decide to further my vocal training and I ended up with a Bachelor and Master of Music in Opera Performance. I sang in opera houses in Germany, the Czech Republic and the Vancouver. I also share their passion for teaching music. I wish Connie and Jacqueline continued success and congratulations on helping so many young people reach for the stars! God bless you both!
Much love, Amy
Great studio...great atmosphere. Connie and Jacqueline really know their stuff. My years with them are something I'll never forget. Wish I hadn't had to move away.
Even someone my age can enjoy what this studio has to offer.
