AUDITION PREPARATION Private lessons with professional instructors offer the skills needed to successfully audition for college and university level arts programs. 12 week sessions - one hour/week. (Graduates of our program currently attend Western University (voice), York University (drama/ music), U. of Ottawa (film/theatre) and the Randolph Academy of the Performing arts (musical theatre).
SONG & DANCE... We offer classes in song & dance or musical theatre to those students who display the potential to excel in these areas. Song & Dance lessons are private or semi-private ONLY.
VOICE LESSONS... Private instruction for those interested in developing their full vocal potential. Acceptance for voice lessons requires an appointment with the teacher to discuss cirriculum and determine your personal lesson plan. All levels accepted. ***We specialize in pop & musical theatre styles
POP ENSEMBLE Pop Ensemble - Be part of a pop song&dance group - learn pop voice technique - add cool moves - find out what it takes to become a performer - work on skills to help you with stage presence, confidence, vocal production and more Who knows - you may be the Next Star!
We offer the following DANCE classes:
DANCE-A-RAMA - our new variety class for little ones (ages 4-6) - a mixture of ballet, jazz & tap - ballet slippers & tap shoes required Find out what your little aspiring dancer likes to do in our new class that teaches a little bit of ballet, jazz & tap, with a performance at the end of every session. DANCE-A-RAMA classes run in two semesters: Semester I: September - December SemesterII: February - May
DANCEMIXER An exciting class featuring awesome, high energy routines, in three dance styles: hip hop, cheerdance with poms, and lip sync (cabaret). Come and be a part of the dancemixer fun!
HIP HOP
Kidz hip hop: Mondays 6:00-7:15 Teen hip hop: Thursdays (time tba) Adult hip hop: Tuesdays 8:15-9:00
Tap - technique taken from Al Gilbert & CDTA syllabii
Tap/jazz combo - classes for kids who want to enjoy both disciplines
Ballet - recommended for anyone considering competing and also offered for those who just love ballet
Lyrical - combining many different techniques, lyrical classes interpret the lyrics and require acting/interpreting skills
Musical Theatre/Stage - most often called CABARET in Thunder Bay, this class teaches character, theatre dance, acting & lip synch.
ADULT TAP CLASS: intermediate level Our popular tap class where learning to tap is fun...fun...fun... Must be capable of doing grade 3 technique. Wednesdays: 8:15-9:00
***Beginner adult tap also available if enough interest
FITNESS CLASSES... Dancercise* Fun, safe, effective workout for big beautiful women or those who haven't exercised in awhile. Fridays: 5:30 - 6:15
FASCINATING RHYTHM... A ladies' variety dance class for those who LOVE to move. Everything from Broadway to Pop, Country to Percussion. No previous experience necessary. Mondays: 7:15 - 8:00

 Musical Theatre: 12 weeks Saturdays: 10:00-10:45 ages 6-9 Saturdays: 10:45-noon ages 9-16 A performance at the end of every session!!! Musical Theatre - a combination of singing, dancing and acting, working toward a performance of an original musical at the end of every session. Songs and choregraphy specific to characters portrayed in each musical. ***A performance at the end of every session.
ALSO AVAILABLE: Writerscraft for kids (9-14) Work with Jacqueline to develop the skills to write and submit your own works for publication. Each student will work on a piece of their own and prepare it for submission.
COMING SOON: Writing a Play Work on writing characters, plot, dialogue and scenes to create a play for the stage. Each student will become one of the characters and perform the original work at the end of the session.
